THE BOOK

Welcome to a culinary journey through a few of the Greek islands my parents came from.

The Mediterranean diet uses fresh produce, which makes for outstanding food. It is simple, colourful and full of flavour. The staples of Greek food are the same as they have been for centuries; beans, greens, herbs, the olive and its oil, figs, grapes, wine and cheese. Over the years I have adapted some of the recipes, making them easier, and faster to prepare.Breaking bread is a feast for the eyes, as well as the appetite.

Even if its enjoying a simple Greek salad in a little tavern, or preparing a lamb on the spit, food will always be a focal point in the Greek way of life.
